The Lion Bridge at Burghley House near Stamford. Designed in 1778 for 1,000 guineas by Lancelot “Capability” Brown along with other works including landscaping the grounds and creating the shallow lake (now with a causeway), with beyond it the great Elizabethan house of Lord Cecil.
